Group On Water Training

This class adheres to the curriculum created by the Safe Boating Council (NSBC) and sanctioned by NASBLA. Certification requires two sessions: one focusing on close quarter maneuvers and the other on open water handling, which includes safety drills such as Man Overboard. To register and participate, you must obtained your Safe Boater card from the FWC and the State of Florida.

Individual On Water Training

This class is ideal for those new to boating, offering a hands-on experience on the water. It can also be customized to refine specific skills, covering topics such as chart reading and navigation, as well as practical exercises illustrate the effects of tidal and wind changes.

Introduction to Power Boating

Sea Skills FL, led by Captain Dennis, offers essential boating safety training in accordance with the National Safe Boating Council guidelines. Our courses equip aspiring captains and boating enthusiasts with the knowledge and skills necessary for safe and enjoyable experiences on the water. Discover the confidence and competence to navigate responsibly with Sea Skills FL, your local resource for maritime safety education.
The first 45 minutes is a review of basic boating knowledge followed by on-water instruction where you will drive the boat.
PREREQUISITE:  You must have in your possession the State of Florida Safe Boater card and sign the waiver of liability.  There is a minimum of 2 people required to hold the class with a maximum of 4.
